  • European Union negotiators have told Boris Johnson to give more concessions as the price of agreeing a Brexit deal at a summit of European leaders on Thursday.

  • Wind and solar farms and other sources of renewable power have produced more electricity than fossil fuels for the first time in a three-month period.
