  • Europe is considering relaxing its restrictions on self-driving technology under pressure from Tesla. Regulations that limit the abilities of Autopilot, its driver-assist system, could be eased under proposals tabled by the company last month.

  • Mark Denning departed Capital Group five days after the asset manager was approached with claims that he had used a “secretive fund” to personally invest in some of the same businesses supported by funds he helped to manage on behalf of clients.

  • Police soaked anti-government protesters with stinging blue dye and fired tear gas as hundreds of thousands of people took part in one of the biggest demonstrations of recent weeks. Official permission for the protest had been refused but marchers went ahead, chanting slogans and carrying placards through Tsim Sha Tsui in the Kowloon district. Organisers estimated their number at 350,000.
