  • National Express says that it will not buy another diesel bus as it aims to have a zero-emission fleet by 2035.

  • In a blow to the car industry a study has found that new cars are producing higher levels of carbon emissions than older models because of consumer demand for larger vehicles. According to research by the consumer group Which?, the most recent petrol, diesel and hybrid cars were producing 7 per cent more carbon dioxide than older equivalents.
